Homework Policy Changes

Much time, effort, thought and hard work went into the creation of Gompers' new homework policy. This was a collaborative effort among staff and families, and in direct response to the parent survey that went out earlier this year. We did our very best to make sure that all voices were heard, and in the end we formalized a policy that we believe will strengthen family engagement while promoting learning at home and in school.

Please take time to read the new policy. It will be put into effect fourth quarter, and will be sent along with student report cards this month. Please allow some grace as we implement this new policy, as it will be an adjustment for students and staff alike.

Lastly, thank you to all who shared your thoughts and concerns, and contributed in person and in writing to the formulation of this new policy.
